Walk Well- Nordic Walking
A great social walk using Nordic poles for posture and propulsion

The session is inclusive of Nordic pole hire. If you have you are bringing your own poles, please drop me a text upon booking. 07972932117 Please make sure they are Nordic poles and NOT walking poles. Wednesday session 11.30am - allow 2- 3 hours. Weather can always vary so please bring appropriate clothing, bring a back pack, with a windshell jacket/ lightweight waterproofs, drink and a snack bar. A peaked cap is handy in sun and sometimes rain too, plus a warm hat/ gloves. Nordic walking combines cardiovascular exercise with a vigorous muscle workout for your shoulders, arms, core, and legs. "When you walk without poles, you mainly activate muscles below the waist. When you add Nordic poles, you activate all of the muscles of the upper body as well, You're engaging 80% to 90% of your muscles, as opposed to 50%, providing a substantial calorie-burning benefit." When used correctly the poles work the back of the body, providing support for a much more upright position. Learning to swing from the shoulders also creates a correct rotation and counter rotation of the trunk of the body and hence really developing core workout and support. The meeting point for the session will be emailed to you the evening before.
