Service Description
Relearn how to move naturally, how to regain fluidity in your everyday movements. This is Somatic Groundwork. The session is about our relationship to the ground. How we can relax into, push into, surrender into, grow out of the ground. How to create strength with ease. It will enhance your enjoyment of living in a body! Befriend your body, yourself. Grow in gratitude, appreciation and curiosity about the amazing body you have. Somaspirals is a movement practice developed and created by Heather Parsons, designed to tap into your body's innate wisdom. The session is based in Somatic Groundwork and includes 5 stages of development. Retracing the early stages of movement in an adult body is a pathway to reclaiming the body’s natural strength, flexibility, mobility and neural plasticity. With regular practice, these moves contribute to spinal health, re-patterning and restructuring the whole body, enhancing physical and energetic balance . Olympic Athletes were once asked to follow a toddler around and replicate every movement. After an hour they were shattered! This is not the aim in this class, but it does show how dynamic baby and toddler movement is. This is also the basis for the new trend of primal movement.
