Service Description
Dancing Through Life is a creative experience allowing you to rediscover the delight of moving your own way, while using choreography to build healthy alignment of joints while simultaneously lengthening and strengthening your muscles. The sessions do use choreography, to guide you into expressive movement, that you can adapt to your own unique way. Choreography is used sometimes as a simple base and sometimes to switch things up and allow you to try out new ways of moving. EveryBODi welcome- however out of shape and uncoordinated, two left feet, or supremely athletic and at the peak of fitness, all in one class. Music ranges from Celtic, New Age, Samba, Classical, Jazz, Electronic Dance, Afro-beat, Ambient, Lounge and Folk, and much more. Many moves are slower than many modern dance fitness classes to allow time for an embodied 'somatic' experience. The benefit of this is taking care of your alignment, hence less injuires while building flowing mobility and strength. Do not be decieved by the slowness, you will most definately getting a very good workout. What we are doing is calming your nervous system. Dancing through life is a journey an exploration. Moving in new ways creates new ways of thinking and feeling.
