Breathing is the core of your practice. You breathe approximately 20,000 times a day. Learning how to breathe well and to learn different techniques can leave you feeling more energized and with skills to calm and centre yourself, and reduce asthma/anxiety/panic attacks. Understanding and sensing the breath in supporting your movement is vital part of Pilates and key to a core workout and for strengthening your pelvic floor and supporting your spine. Learn the difference between Yoga breath and PIlates breath. When to inhale and exhale. How does the breath support your movement?
