We offer three weekly Yoga practices at ENERGYBODi. All are an embodied practices; learn to lead the movement from your own internal guidance, personalize your practice, alongside the teachers guidance. Everybody is different, not one size fits all. By increasing your felt sense intelligence, you gain skills to move well and increase your comfort, pleasure and strength not only in class but everyday.

Yoga on a Roll! The Roller is one of the simplest, yet so diverse bit of kit! The above pictures only begin to touch on the vast diversity of what we can do with them, not only can we massage, we can use them as a prop to support and develop our Yoga Asanas. This is an excellent class, if you are new to Yoga or if you want to add and build your current practice, or if you are a regular gym goer, or runner, cyclist etc and really need to ease out your muscles!

Hanna Somatic Yoga is not a different style of yoga but rather a movement therapy, a way of re-educating the way our brain senses and moves the muscles.  Based in the work of Thomas Hanna, An original philosopher/teacher, Hanna developed a theory of somatology and of the field he named Somatics. 

Hanna Somatics is a rapidly effective form of neuromuscular (mind-body training) movement re-education that goes directly to the root cause of most chronic muscular pain: the brain and the way in which it senses and organizes the muscles and movement.

Our muscles can become tight or restricted due to development reasons, habitual patterns, emotional stress, injuries or trauma. Small, slow and gentle movements are used to re-educate the brain so that it can relax and move these muscles more functionally.

Open to everyone, Wednesday 9.45am is an established class. If you feel you need a smaller and more specific class join our new Friday Restart, Rehab session- 9.45am

Yoga in Rossendale Sun Salutation

Sun Salutation -A Hatha Yoga Practice

 The yoga sun salutation (Surya Namaskar) is known to have a host of health benefits. This flowing series of poses stimulates almost every system in the body: cardiovascular system, the digestive system and the nervous system.

The focus of this next course will be 'Twisty Sun Salutation': stretch your side body, ‘wring out’ your spine, elongate your quadriceps and open your hips.  It doesn't matter whether you're a beginner or more experienced, I hope to offer something for everyone. I like to break each pose down so you can find the best alignment for your body. It's not about striking a pose or trying to keep up, it's about sensing your body from within. How can you use gravity, the upthrust of the earth and the force of your body to find comfort, steadiness and ease? The transitions in and out of the moves are just as important, we will spend time focusing on preparing and moving in and out of each pose. I'm really looking forward to seeing you all, and it would be lovely to see some new faces too. Energybodi is such a wonderful place
